About
Cindy Carpenter, host of Denver Real Estate Wire.
It’s gushing, I know, but I love living in Colorado, and more specifically, Denver. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to and live in other great states and countries, but I always come home. My sons were raised here, and we have always enjoyed the seasons for golf, sailing, skiing, and their current favorite – snowmobiling. I was born here, and will probably expire here – not such a bad deal in life.
As an adult (conceptually), I went into real estate in 1977, and expanded into mortgages in 1981. It has been a great ride being in the real estate and mortgage industry, including this currently challenging market. I sold real estate, and managed real estate offices, then sold mortgages, underwrote loans, and managed both retail and wholesale regional mortgage offices for over 25 years.
Whether selling real estate or mortgages, the constantly changing face of Denver has always been a fascination – from the first quaint little house near Sloan’s lake I sold to a music teacher, to the dramatically modern house, with spectacular Denver views, which I have always lusted after on Lookout Mountain. Yes, I am officially a lookie-loo, whether or not I am making money on the transaction.
Enjoy the ride with me as we traverse the changing face of real estate in Denver.
